Grid poem

The elephant had too much funk in his trunk and fun in his BB loaded bop gun to drive 55 or give that starry night a rest. So he fished for his tes, and found it on his lef, ill communicating I a'tol'ya bref is here today, but who knows it's here to stay? Triceratops boots for the purple faced gloots and queen bee tuning forks for carnivorous quarks and zipperhead dorks who haven't heard the one about the owl sitting on the clock to see time fly. If the bird hipped, then must their song die?
