Chicago Murder Sites: a work in progress 11x14 Gelatin silver print, composite pinhole photography This suite of thirty prints document the sites of thirty murders in Chicago. The sites were selected at random from the city column of newspaper, each print is a pinhole photograph photocomposed with the clipping detailing the event that took place there. Chicago Murder Sites, print no.17- Wednesday evening, witnesses saw a man with a gun in his hand running from the Jones Music store at 1940 W.69th street. Then the stores owner, Ollie B. Jones "stumbled out, bleeding and calling to his freind "Hotrod", who had a store next door," said Detective Leonard Kukulka of Brighton Park area violent crimes. Chicago Murder Sites, print no.21- Just before 1 a.m. police patrol officers found a 26 year old man lying on his back in an alley behind the 8300 block South Kerfoot Avenue. The man had benn stabbed several times, said Pullman violent crimes. Sgt. Frank cage would not release the victim's name because his relatives had not been notified. Cage said investigators had not determined a motive in the stabbing. Chicago Murder Sites, print no.26- Helen Miller, of the 1900 block of South spaulding Avenue, was found dead in a storage area under her home's porch after neighbors called police, saying "the smell was horrible," said Sgt. Michael Siciliano. He allegedly struck her with a claw hammer, then hid her body in different rooms, covering it with clothes or pouring bleach on it to try to kill the smell, police said.
