Lyudmila Tomova

Born in Sofia, Bulgaria, Ludmilla graduated from the five year Special School of Fine Arts and studied at Sofia’s Academy of Fine Arts where she excelled in the classical tradition of Western realism. In 1990 a grant of political asylum enabled her to immigrate to the U.S. where she earned a B.F.A. from the Fashion Institute of Technology in Illustration. Ludmilla fast became recognized as a highly skilled illustrator, both traditional and digital, mural painter and animator. Unique imaginativeness and originality manifest its spirit in her powerful work. Her inexhaustible search for artistic purification has come to a true evolution and maturity of style. Ludmilla’s professional integrity and commitment to her craft place her as one of the most promising and significant young artists of her generation.
