Russ McClay

Russ McClay is a freelance computer/graphic artist-explorer who has been residing in Taipei, Taiwan since 1987.

Since 1994 he has created a number of computer-generated images and animations using a wide variety of PC software and hardware. In the early days of 1989 it was Dr. Halo and ASCII art. Then came 3D Studio, Fractint, and Vistapro, Photoshop and Painter.

Though eclectic in content, his art work is a reflection of personal inner work and exploration. "For viewers the art I create is about feeling good; but also, hopefully, to be an inspiration to others to express themselves in their own way. On a practical level, the art is an avenue of production (as opposed to consumption) and a great way to learn more about the latest digital tools."
