Mooncricket Creations by Wenda Vorce

At 51 Wenda discovered an artisitic side that she never knew existed. In early 2005, a friend in Wenatchee,WA showed Wenda how to weld. She knew immediately that she had found her niche - and it was in junk art! She began driving between Vancouver, Washington and Wenatchee on the weekends. After welding a piece, she would take it back to sell in Vancouver and then make the whole trip again the next weekend. Wenda eventually decided to leave her day job at the Gummy Bear Factory in Vancouver and take the risk required to live her dream of making art. She moved to Wentachee where she now spends her time welding whimsical pieces from recycled metal findings. Wenda says that every piece of metal has its own personality and it is her job to figure out what it is and what it wants to become. Wenda also enjoys taking road trips and snapping a few pictures...
